Helpful advice from someone who’s been playing for a while: If you’ve just started playing Family Island or even if you’ve been at it for a bit and still feel like you’re running out of energy, stuck with full storage, or unsure of what to do next, you’re not alone. If I’m about to log off for a bit, I set the stations to work on longer items so I come back to something useful. Even if you don’t need something right away, chances are you’ll need it later for a quest or event. It’s better to have extras than to wait for something to finish when you’re in the middle of a task.

Use Your Energy Wisely

Energy is one of the most important parts of the game, and it goes quickly if you’re not careful. Chopping down huge trees or breaking big rocks might seem like a good idea, but they cost a lot of energy. I try to go for smaller tasks first that give good materials for less energy. I also cook energy-boosting food whenever I can, and I save those meals for when I really need them. If I’m about to start clearing a new area, I make sure I have a few meals ready to go.

Upgrade Storage as Soon as Possible

I learned this one the hard way. If your storage is full, you won’t be able to collect new items. That means you might miss out on rewards, quest progress, or items from buildings.
